Biography

Lennon Richard " Lee " Lindblom was born in Santa Barbara, California on April 18, 1960. He and his family soon moved to Ormond Beach, Florida just a block off of A1A, North of Daytona Beach; where he spent his childhood boating, fishing, surfing and enjoying life in a beach community.

The family business took them to Mobile , Al. in 1973 where at 13 yrs old, music became an omni-presence in his life. His father bought him a brand new  Shiny "King Cleveland 615"  Tenor Sax. He said, "Son, I bought you that horn and your going to learn how to play it!"  P.E. and Sports were not an alternative  for Lee. He was not the kind of guy to go out for sports, being  the sort of skinny, intellectual "nerd" type back then.

Lee started singing in the school chorus , played Alto, Tenor & Baritone Sax in the school Symphonic, Marching Bands and Jazz Ensemble. The classical stuff just wasn't for Lee, for his heart was into Jazz, Rock & Contemporary music. He spent most of his time outside of school practicing his musical skills & just jamming with friends.

Having a devout love & ear for music, Lee picked up the Electric Guitar and learned the basic chords, after which he pursued the Bass Guitar & Piano.  During his High School Years, he soon became the Lead Singer- Front Man in a Local Rock Band. They enjoyed playing material of the era from artists & groups such as  Peter Frampton, The Eagles, Foghat,  Electric Light Orchestra, Kiss ect.

A Beach-Bum at heart and avid sailor, Lee obtained his U.S. Coast Guard Master Captain's License in 1987, becoming " Capt. Lee Lindblom ". "Capt. Lee"  set sail aboard  his sailboat "Three's Company" and  sailed  from Mobile Bay cruising to the Texas Coast to Key West Florida. He paid his marina rent by singing in the bar & washing dishes!

After many  months of solo sailing, "Capt. Lee" became home sick and returned to  Orange Beach Alabama where he started a Sailing Charter & yacht repair Business. Living aboard the sloop  "Threes Company ", "Capt. Lee" , along with First Mate - Mascot & veteran sailor, Frenchman PePe' Andre' (trained miniature poodle) would take many  tourists sailing every day.  He would entertain his passengers by singing songs by Jimmy Buffett   and telling tall tales of his voyages. After 10 years of Charter Sailing, in 1997, "Capt. Lee" sold his boat & returned to a life as a "Land Lubber". After 18 years at sea, Pepe'Andre'  passed away in 2001 and now his son, "Jacques Pierre Andre" lives out his legacy. "Jacques" might even show up at some of his public shows!

In 1999 "Capt. Lee" was burned in a explosion resulting in 2nd degree burns over 38 percent of his body. He spent 3 months in the USA Burn Center in Mobile, Al. During his treatment,  "Capt. Lee" developed heart complications narrowly escaping death. Called the " Miracle Man" by his Doctors,  "Capt. Lee" has fully recovered with a new appreciation for life. His music is an expression of his inner self and he hopes that it helps to spread joy and happiness to all who hear him.

After having played with many various bands over the years, He decided to break away from all the hassles of having to agree with the other band members, split up the money & supposedly share all of the work ect. "Capt. Lee" even tried his hand at being a DJ for a short stint. He just did not like the idea of not being able to actually  perform the music. He started his 1-Man Band Concept Show in the early 1990's with just his Guitar, Amp, Mic and a Drum Machine. Since then he has improved his act by employing back ground accompaniments for a fully orchestrated sound.  Hence, "The Capt. Lee One Man Show".
