Student GSES TechTeam Application
You are invited to apply for a place on the GSES TechTeam. You must be in the 5th or 6th grade at GSES. You will need a recommendation from one of your teachers for good conduct, a completed a one page essay, and a presentation of a powerpoint topic. The dead line for your documents will be Monday, November 5, 2007.

20% | A completed application, teacher recommendation, essay, and power point program turned in by the due date of Nov. 5 at 3:00pm.

30% | A one page essay answering the following questions: Please keep your response to all of the questions to a total of one page 1. Why do you want to join the technology team? 2. What skills could you contribute to the technology team? 3. What would you like to acquire from your participation on the technology team?

50% | An original PowerPoint program on an educational topic of your choice. Here is a web site so that you can browse some educational topics http://www.thinkquest.org/competition/categories.shtml .
In addition here is a web site so that you can look at some winning programs from the Think Quest Competition. Be aware that you are not able to produce anything which looks exactly like these programs because PowerPoint does not have all of the capabilities that our new software will have. Therefore this site is supplied for informational purposes only. http://www.thinkquest.org/aug06may07/index.shtml . Your power point program will be judged using the rubric attached.
