Summerdale Community Center

About the MinistryIn 1993, Harvest Church began meeting at the Summerdale Community Center. It met there until 1998, when Pastor Schell and the church family felt God call them to move to the Flea Market in Summerdale so that the church could be more involved in the market-place ministry. The church first started holding an 8:00 a.m. chapel service for flea market dealers on Sunday mornings in a small room. In the spring of 1998, the church moved into a building on the Flea Market property. Each Sunday at 8:00 a.m. vendors from all over Alabama and surrounding states attend their unique church. The church feels that it is vitally important to "take it to the marketplace" just as Jesus would do. |
