The following information came from a book titled
the Descendants of George Washington Williams by Carolyn V.
Gregson Glade. Verbatim: "It said that Wash's father was Billy
Duzong an Indian who was freed after the Civil War. We have nothing to substantiate this. It
was said his master was a Williams man from Washington County, thereby we come to have the
name
